18 years as a CIO is a résumé line. Here is what backs it up.
I founded a software company, ran it as an owner, and sold it in 2023. I know what it is to meet payroll, to buy software with my own money, and to be the person everything runs through. That is why the Exit column on my homepage says what it says.
I trained as an accountant before I ever ran technology. It is why I start with the numbers, why QuickBooks does not scare me, and why every engagement has a price on the page.
Why Headway, why here
I live here. My family is here. I am building a local business on purpose, serving Collingwood, Wasaga Beach, The Blue Mountains, Clearview, Barrie, Orillia, Midland and Owen Sound.
The businesses here mostly cannot hire a full-time CIO or a marketing lead, and they should not have to. The choice has been a Toronto agency that sells hours, or a nephew who is good with computers. Headway is the third option: senior judgment, part-time, vendor-neutral, and accountable for the result.
